Afghanistan registered a historic 69-run win over England in match number 13 of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday, October 15. Sent into bat after losing the toss, Afghanistan posted a competitive 284 on the board as opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz starred with 80 off 57 balls. Afghanistan spinners Mujeeb Ur Rahman (3/51), Rashid Khan (3/37) and Mohammad Nabi (2/16) then combined to bowl out England for 215 in 40.3 overs. Harry Brook (66 off 61) was the only England batter to offer some resistance.
